Consumer prices in Kenya increased by 6.72% year-on-year in October of 2015, following a 5.97% growth in the previous month, as cost of food, housing rent and energy pushed the inflation up. Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 11.27% and those of housing and utilities rose by 3.96%. Kenya Stock Market (NSE20) increased to 3868.09 Index points on 05/11/2015 from 3830.15 Index points in the previous trading day. Stock Market in Kenya averaged 4643.69 Index points from 2010 until 2015, reaching an all time high of 5499.64 Index points in March of 2015 and a record low of 3103.04 Index points in December of 2011.
